If
you’re anything like me, then chocolate is always your go-to sweet
treat. Chocolate bars, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, you name it —
any form of it goes. But sometimes I like to class it up a little (or at
least wish I was capable of doing so — I’m a convenience gal, if I’m
honest). Even if it’s a relaxed night in by myself, an elegant dessert
sounds like just the thing to make the night better.
Plus, I won’t feel like I’m missing out on anything by choosing to stay in. Here’s where things start to get tricky — just because I want an extravagant dessert doesn’t mean I have the resources to actually do it. I’m not a professional chef! I’m just a girl who wants to add a little pizzazz to her chocolate treats. Why does it have to be so hard?
That’s where these super easy tricks come in. I, for one, would have never thought of using ice to make chocolate cups. But with that chocolate foundation, I can make literally anything. Brownie sundaes? Strawberry cheesecakes? S’mores?! Honestly, I’m just kind of upset I didn’t learn about this hack sooner — I could have been having s’mores cups for dessert more often! Even greater is knowing that all of this can be done with ice, an ice cube tray, and a couple of broken chopsticks. Just like magic. Check out these incredibly simple tricks to make extra classy desserts at home. You’ll thank us later.
Simply dip the ice cube “popsicle” into melted dark chocolate, set onto a plate, and watch as the chocolate sets instantly onto the ice cube.
Once the chocolate is set, give the ice cube a minute or so to melt down just slightly, wiggle it out, and you’ll have a perfect little chocolate box.
